| Choreographer | Jung in Lee graduated from Kyung Hee University (B.A) and its graduate school (M.A) and conducted various personal projects and collaboration with national and international troupes. Since 2014, started to work as a dancer at Korea National Contemporary Dance Company, and also working as an independent Artist and gave contemporary lecture at Chung Nam National University, Korea National Sports University in Korea. In 2015, she moved place to Linz, Austria and work based on European countries again to focus on her own creation. | ||||||||
| Company | Fools on the Hill company was created in the late 2011 by the young actors HristoTakov, Kamen Marin and StefaniyaGeorgieva. The troupe is united under the name of ATOM theatre. The theatre aims to seek and discover new theatrical forms, techniques and means of expression in the performing arts; to help building a new image of Bulgaria in contemporary theatre; to open the borders of Bulgaria for communication and exchange with other countries of the European Union and not only. | ||||||||
| Work | This production was inspired by Underground(1995 film) directed by Emir Kusturica. The film runs for 147 minutes with a complex, bizarre and dynamic plots. Far from boring, the film draws attention to the story with loud Serbian folk music and brings realism in an attractive manner. The film motivated the choreographers to start their production by using the overall images of the film, rather than using the particulars, e.g. social elements, ethnicity, images of the damage from the war. Main plots and subplots run in parallel without any explanation. The structure of conflict is naturally immersed in the story giving it a fable-like feature. When every subtle detail element is integrated into one, as if it a coincidence, the whole image of the production manifests itself. Helga_Underground freely integrate and disintegrate various movements of objects (from instinctive movements to the movements reversing the instinct). It may be strange to use the components of a film (scenario components) in dance, but it is worth trying to deploy various components as one of the experimental ways. Lee Jungin strives to highlight the various movements connected to these components in a playful way. | ||||||||
